We have vast experience in all areas of criminal law. Our solicitors have dealt with all types of cases from minor thefts to murder. We can provide assistance and guidance from the early stage of a case to its conclusion. If you require advice prior to speaking to police we can do so. We can also attend at police stations for interview as well as attending every step of the way through court procedure. We are registered to provide Legal Aid and will assist you through the application process. If Legal Aid is refused we will tailor our fee structure to suit your ability to pay.

We recognise that a conviction for a road traffic offence can have a massive impact upon your life. We have vast experience of road traffic law and can help you avoid disqualification or the imposition of penalty points. We are experienced in dealing with all types of road traffic offence from speeding to causing death by careless or dangerous driving. We recognise how important your driving licence can be to you and we can represent you throughout Scotland if you are alleged to have committed any road traffic offence.

At Black & Guild we offer practical and sensible help in all aspects of family law. Our solicitors have dealt with many cases of divorce or cases involving issues in relation to residence and contact with children. We will always seek to assist you to resolve cases amicably and without the requirement to attend court if this is possible. If this is not possible we will represent and support you through the court process to help you achieve the best possible outcome from what can be a very difficult situation. Legal Aid is available in a lot of cases and we will help you through this process.

Everyone should have a Will to ensure that loved ones are cared for after your death. We can assist in completing straight forward, or complicated Wills to ensure that your estate is dealt with in accordance with your wishes.

 

We are also available to assist you if a friend or family member has passed away whether they have a Will or not. We are in a position to act as executors on your behalf and help to effect a quick and efficient distribution of that person’s estate. We provide our services at a competitive rate.

At Black & Guild we recognise that families can face a difficult time when loved ones are, for a variety of reasons, unable to manage their own affairs or, indeed, when an individual wishes to make arrangements in anticipation of such an event. We can assist with applications for a Power of Attorney and applications of an individual to be appointed as guardian to a family member or a friend. Legal Aid may be available in certain situations and, if not we will offer our services at a competitive rate.

At Black & Guild we deal with a number of other cases within the Sheriff Court including debt matters and personal injury cases. Legal Aid may be available in these types of actions and Black & Guild will be on hand to help you every step of the way.
